There is much controversy over the bombing of the al-Ahli Arab Hospital (also known as Al Ahli Baptist Hospital) in Gaza, which based on currently available evidence and analysis appears to have been conducted by the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) using U.S.-made weaponry. Early on, Hananya Naftali, a digital aide to Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, posted on X the following message, which Al Jazeera reports "was almost immediately deleted:" "Israeli Air Force struck a Hamas terrorist base inside a hospital in Gaza." Not long after Naftali tweeted, then deleted, this message to the world, Israel's story shifted to blaming Gaza itself for the blast, claiming a Gaza "rocket" flew up into the air and fell too early, damaging the hospital and killing around 500 people, many of them sick patients. Naftali later apologized for his tweet, saying that "a Reuters report" is to blame for his earlier message because it "falsely stated Israel struck the hospital." "As the [Israeli army] does not bomb hospitals, I assumed Israel was targeting one of the Hamas bases in Gaza," Naftali added. Israel is getting caught in lie after lie as it aims to rush into full-scale war at warp speed

Based on this alone, many people are disinclined to believe Israel's newest narrative that the explosion occurred because of a failed rocket launch by the Palestinian Islamic Jihad (PIJ) group. "From the analysis of the operational systems of the [Israeli army], an enemy rocket barrage was carried out towards Israel, which passed through the vicinity of the hospital when it was hit," reads a later message posted by the IDF. An IDF spokesman also followed up on the narrative by claiming that the PIJ was attempting to fire "an enemy rocket barrage" towards Israel "which passed through the vicinity of the hospital when it was hit." "According to intelligence information, from several sources we have, the Islamic Jihad terrorist organization is responsible for the failed shooting that hit the hospital," the Israeli spokesman added. Interestingly, the X post in question initially had an attached video that, for whatever reason, Israel decided to pull. According to Aric Toler, a journalist on the visual investigations team at The New York Times, said video, based on the time stamp, "indicated it had been recorded 40 minutes after the time of the explosion." "The first public mentions of the hospital strike were around 7:20pm local time," Toler tweeted. "This livestream shows an explosion at about 8pm local time." Despite ongoing claims that the IDF "does not target hospitals ... only ... strongholds, arms depots and terror targets," to quote Tal Heinrich, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's spokesman, the World Health Organization (WHO) noted that there have already been more than 51 attacks by Israel on healthcare facilities in Gaza since the start of the conflict on October 7, resulting in at least 15 healthcare worker deaths and another 27 injuries. Then, after hordes of denial on social media, Netanyahu tried to claim that Israel has the moral high ground regardless because "[T]his is a struggle between the children of light and the children of darkness, between humanity and the law of the jungle," that latter part about the "law of the jungle" being the same exact words late President George H.W. Bush uttered in his New World Order address to America on Sept. 11, 1990. Further echoing this same disturbing language likening the Palestinians to sub-humans as compared to Israelis, Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Gallant called them "beastly people" to justify what appear to be rampant war crimes taking place at the hands of the IDF and its "holy war" against Israel's neighbors.
