Elon Musk says "armed citizens vital for democracy's defense," causing gun control activists to lose their minds
Billionaire electric vehicle (EV) guru and X (formerly Twitter) owner Elon Musk
has drawn attention to himself again, this time with regard to his position on the Second Amendment.
Much to the chagrin of gun haters everywhere, Musk wrote a message of support for arming citizens in light of the recent Hamas attack against Israel, which is once again stirring up conversations about the right to bear arms.
"As tragic as the mass shootings are, armed citizens are essential to the defense of democracy," Musk wrote, seemingly referring indirectly to the unarmed citizens of Israel who were slaughtered by armed terrorists.
Musk was responding to an X post from the "End Wokeness" account, which wrote that:
"The past 3+ years have been one long informercial for the 2nd amendment:
- Lockdowns and vax mandates
- Months of race riots and looting
- Police are defunded, crime rages
- Soros Das let criminals roam free
- Millions of illegals storm the border
- Hillary calls for re-education ..."

Gun demand surged during COVID, and especially after the George Floyd and BLM riots – but has since PLUNGED
Compared to the early days of the Wuhan coronavirus (COVID-19) "pandemic" when scared Americans rushed out to buy more guns, the gun industry is reporting far fewer gun purchases today.
The latest data from the
Federal Bureau of Investigation's (FBI) National Instant Criminal Background Check System (NICS), which "serves as a proxy for gun sales," to quote one media outlet, the days of gun panic buying appear to be over and done.
"... gun demand surged during the early days of COVID ... (and) continued erupting as Black Lives Matter protests / riots sparked concern for safety among millions of Americans," reported
Zero Hedge.
"Gun demand has since plunged since panic buying was merely a bubble."
Responding to Musk's X message, Aidan Johnston, Director of Federal Affairs at Gun Owners of America (GOA), praised the billionaire for "finally understanding what a gift our Founding Fathers gave us with the Second Amendment."
"The
right to keep and bear arms empowers individuals to protect themselves, their families and their communities from tyranny," Johnston added in a statement.
Truth be told, there is never going to be a time when the American government is able, or even willing, to successfully protect the general public apart from the Second Amendment. This means it is up to We the People, if this is your thing, to arm up and wait for what comes next, which is sure to be as ugly as it gets.
Many freedom-loving patriots distrust
Musk's true intentions, though. One wrote that the guy is "a tool" and "a connected, useless idiot of retarded science and misdirection."
"His part in the script is to keep the Religion of Progress alive, suck the teat of governments to destroy the middle class (those who pay taxes) and keep everyone off balance as to the next 'insightful' tweet he launches," this person added.
"But watch what he does, not what he says. Like Trump, he appears to be on the side of the Little Guy, all the while answering to his Masters. He's an Agent. Ergo, he is firmly in a '.gov position.'"
Another wrote that Musk is clearly gunning for some kind of high-level government position with these theatrics.
"Perhaps Planet President is even more to his liking," this person jokingly added.
