The ugly, horrifying history of Israel's military, the "most moral army in the world"

"The Big Picture with Mohamed Hassan" released an eye-opening episode this week that unpacks the dark and disturbing history of Israeli Defense Forces (IDF), which Israel pridefully claims is the "most moral army in the world."
History tells a much different story about the IDF than the Netanyahu regime and its allies. Hatched in 1948, the IDF had previously been three different, and sometimes warring, sects of underground Zionist militias: the Haganah, the Irgun and the Lehi.
Prior to 1948, the Haganah, the Irgun and the Lehi sometimes fought with each other and other times against each other. What they all had in common was their shared desire to terrorize what were then Palestinian villages – Israel as we know of it today did not exist prior to 1948.
Hassan explains in the following episode of his program that the Haganah, the Irgun and the Lehi would together unleash terror operations on the Palestinian people, blowing up their homes and bombing the British forces that were at the time in control of the land.
"They blew up hotels in Jerusalem, embassies in Europe and assassinated a UN mediator," Hassan explains.

Israel and the IDF are not as they seem
After Israel officially became a state after World War II, the Haganah, the Irgun and the Lehi merged together as one to become the IDF. Their leaders would go on to become top officials in government, working as politicians, ambassadors and prime ministers.
Most of the world seems to know very little about Israel and the IDF other than what the media says, which if you live in the West is mostly glowing and supportive. As Israel's "best friend" and closest ally, the United States goes to great lengths to portray Israel in the best of light while denigrating its enemies as terrorists.
It turns out that the IDF was the terrorist force in the Middle East that since the reformation of Israel in 1948 has been shedding much blood on behalf of the Zionist regime that seeks to expand Israel's borders to create "Greater Israel."
The first few minutes of the above video from Hassan, posted to YouTube by Middle East Eye, shows Netanyahu and various other world leaders repeating the line that Israel's army is the "most moral army in the world," almost as if they are all reading from the same script.
"Apart from the allegations of war crimes in Gaza, the attempts to paint it as an animal-friendly, queer-friendly, religiously tolerant military institution, the history of the IDF says more about it than its social media image," Hassan says.
The fact that Israel routinely brags and boasts about how wonderful it thinks it and its army is demonstrates a uniquely Israeli way of trying to win over the world through rhetoric rather than truth.
"When someone tells you they are perfect, run the other way!" is how one commenter on YouTube put it concerning Israel's self-chosen status as harboring the world's most moral army.
"Their actions speak louder than empty words," wrote another.
Someone else pointed out that in contrast to what Israel is doing, its neighbors are actually behaving much better than the IDF in terms of how they are responding to Israel's provocations.
"In Gaza, they killed thousands of Palestinians and decimated all buildings there," this person wrote about the IDF. "You did exactly the same thing to Lebanon. Meanwhile, your enemies have true moral armies that only target your military bases."
"What kind of nation are you when every word you say is lies, lies, and more lies?"
