The true intentions of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu for Gaza are on the table after Israel revealed that it has no plans to agree to a ceasefire, no matter the terms. Israeli defense officials told Haaretz over the weekend that the war will continue until the Jewish state successfully gobbles up the Gaza Strip, piece by piece, through gradual annexation – this means Israel plans to take over Gaza and absorb the Palestinian territory as its own. About a week after the Israeli government commanded Palestinians living in northern Gaza to evacuate to areas south of the Netzarim corridor, a strip of land controlled by the Israeli military, representatives from the Netanyahu regime revealed that all this shuffling around is intended to ease the process of Israel annexing the Gaza Strip as its own. Right now, Israel Defense Forces (IDF) are focused on the Jabalia refugee camp, which has been under complete siege ever since Israel's military operations in the northern portion of Gaza escalated. The IDF is reportedly carrying out a "scaled-down" version of the "general's plan," which involves a full ethnic cleansing of all Palestinians from northern Gaza. Any Palestinians who choose to stay in northern Gaza in defiance of the IDF's orders are to be killed either through military action, i.e., bombings or airstrikes, or mass starvation. According to the United Nations' (UN) World Food Program, there have been no food aid deliveries to northern Gaza since October 1 – and it sounds like there will be no further deliveries as Israel takes over the region. IDF "safe zones" don't exist: There's nowhere for Palestinian civilians to flee

Netanyahu apparently ordered this sudden assault on northern Gaza with minimal preparation. The frantic move was designed to pressure the Palestinians still living in northern Gaza to flee to the south so Israel can annex northern Gaza, but the plan is not working so well since many Palestinians are refusing to leave. According to reports, there is nowhere for Palestinian civilians living in northern Gaza to flee. Whenever they go to the "safe zones" where Israel says to go for "refuge," they end up getting bombed and killed by the IDF – so what are they supposed to do, the world is now wondering? Haaretz says that Israeli troops were ordered to launch the assault on Jabalia "even though there was no intelligence to justify the move." Some members of the Israeli security establishment expressed opposition to the move, but only because they feared it might endanger the lives of Israeli hostages. "If Israel is successful in cleansing northern Gaza of its Palestinian population, it would pave the way for the establishment of Jewish-only settlements in the area, an idea openly supported by many Israeli ministers and Knesset members," writes Dave DeCamp for AntiWar.com. "The general's plan calls for the tactics to be used in other parts of the Strip once the north is cleansed." Israel's disregard for Palestinian lives has never been more blatant as the Netanyahu regime bores its way to victory, no matter the cost of human lives – just so long as those lives are not Israeli. "Stealing land from people is what this has all been about since 1947," one commenter wrote about Israel's actions in the Middle East since its reformation in the mid-20th century.
