INVASION USA: Report says Biden has granted amnesty to over 350,000 MIGRANTS since 2022
The administration of President Joe Biden has terminated hundreds of thousands of asylum cases
in a "mass amnesty" program.
This is according to a report from the
New York Post, which found that more than
350,000 pending asylum cases filed by illegal immigrants have been closed by the U.S. government since 2022. This means that while the immigrants are not granted or denied asylum, their cases are "terminated without a decision on the merits of their asylum claim" and they are removed from the legal system and no longer required to check in with authorities.
The move permits them to legally and indefinitely roam the United States without fear of deportation.
"This is just a
massive amnesty under the guise of prosecutorial discretion. You're basically allowing people who don't have a right to be in the United States to be here indefinitely," said Andrew Arthur, a former immigration judge who works for the Center for Immigration Studies.
The approximately 350,000 "forgiven" asylum applications
represent 77 percent of illegal immigrants who have applied for asylum.
The individuals affected by the "mass amnesty" can reapply for asylum at a later date or hold out for other possible pathways to citizenship.
The revelation arrives as the U.S. has undergone an unparalleled crisis on both the southern and northern borders.
The government has registered over 9.5 million nationwide encounters and approximately 1.7 million illegal immigrants "gotaways" under the Biden administration. (Related:
ACTIVE INVASION: At least 7.3 million illegal immigrants have crossed the southwest border under Joe Biden.)
The foreign-born population living in America has also reached a record high of 51.6 million people under the present government, with the enormous increase being pushed mostly by mass illegal immigration.
Biden signs executive order that seeks to "limit" illegal crossings at the southern border
Meanwhile, Biden signed an executive order that would shut down the U.S.-Mexico border
once illegal crossings reach 2,500 reported incidents every day between points of entry for seven consecutive days. The order, which went into effect immediately, would lift border restrictions two weeks after the regular number of crossings dropped to an average of 1,500 daily for seven days straight.
Even if imposed correctly, analysts warn that this border closure will still permit a minimum of 1.8 million new arrivals into the country annually.
The latest restrictions contain numerous exceptions like permitting immigrants to cross the border at a point of entry if they apply for legal entry using the CBP One smartphone app. Other exceptions include unaccompanied children, victims of a severe form of trafficking and individuals who face an acute medical emergency or an imminent and extreme threat to their life and safety.
Former Acting Immigrations and Customs Enforcement Director Tom Homan warned that
the border crisis is unlikely to be resolved by this new executive order.
"They haven't done a single thing to slow the flow. And I guarantee you, the executive action … is going to be another insult on the American legal system," said Homan, stressing how the Biden administration is fully aware of the problems with the border.
"The Biden administration knows what I know, that based on immigration court data in the last 10 years, nine out of 10 of these people claim asylum at the border won't win a case. They'll be ordered removed because they either don't show up in court or they don't qualify," Homan said. "This administration knows exactly what they're doing. They know these people get removed or deported. They don't want that. They'd rather be here illegally and wait … to be counted in the next Census, which would benefit the Democrats. They've got a plan, and this is their plan."
