Joe Biden's brother James ADMITS president received $40,000 check that used funds from a company tied to the CCP
James Biden has confirmed during testimony to the House of Representatives that the $40,000 check made out in 2017 to his brother, then-Vice President Joe Biden, used funds
from a company tied to the Chinese Communist Party (CCP).
On Friday, March 1, James, 74, was questioned by members of the House Oversight and Judiciary Committees as part of the impeachment inquiry into the president. James admitted that, in 2017 and 2018, Biden lent him money for "outstanding bills."
James said he repaid the two loans in the form of checks,
one for $40,000 and one for $200,000. The contention here is whether or not the money that went to the then-vice president came
from money James made in business dealings with the Chinese. (Related:

Biden family may have laundered money from the Chinese
As part of the impeachment proceedings, the House committees released a copy of a $40,000 check written on Sept. 3, 2017, from Jim and Sara Biden to
the then- vice president.
Before this check was written, James and presidential son Hunter Biden – who was partnering with his uncle at the time – were working with CEFC China Energy, an oil and gas conglomerate that went bankrupt in 2018 and was formerly chaired by Ye Jianming, described as a "protege" of Chinese President Xi Jinping.
James' grilling and the prior investigation found that the $40,000 originated from a joint venture with James and Hunter with the CEFC. Hunter's company, Owasco LLC, had wired James the money which then made its way into the bank account of the elder Biden. During his testimony before the House's impeachment inquiry, James admitted that the money he used to repay his brother
came from CEFC. Several members of the House present at the inquiry suggest that this may be evidence that
the Biden family was complicit in laundering money from the Chinese.
Despite this clear evidence, James maintains that his family did nothing wrong, with James claiming that he did not discuss with Hunter where the money came from.
"My relationship with Owasco that he controlled and owned, and that's the way I was being paid," said James just moments after admitting that he was aware the money had come from the Chinese energy company. James further admitted that his working relationship with Hunter was that he "basically consulted with and gave advice" to the president's son.
James further claims that he had no idea that CEFC had ties to the CCP, claiming that when Hunter briefed him on the nature of the energy company, he was informed that "[CEFC] was a private company."
"And I know the nature of my nephew. He's a
Yale Law graduate and had, you know, done due diligence," added James. "It wasn't my place to do it. That Hunter had assured me that it was not affiliated with the Chinese government and it was a private company."
