Biden's gaffes and repeated stumbles spur nervous talks about the 25TH Amendment and Kamala taking over

President Joe Biden's public speaking errors and stumbling incidents have prompted rumors of the 25th Amendment being invoked – and Vice President Kamala Harris taking over. The 25th Amendment, which outlines presidential succession, gives the vice president and the executive cabinet power to remove the commander in chief from office via a majority vote in the event of the president being no longer fit for office. Biden recently set off alarm bells among Democrats and Republicans alike after a messy press conference. The briefing was convened in response to a report released by Department of Justice Special Prosecutor Robert Hur. Despite insisting that his memory is "fine," Biden mistakenly referred to Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi as the leader of Mexico – a position that belongs to Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador. Earlier, Biden also recounted talking to two long-dead European politicians about the Jan. 6, 2021 false-flag riot in the Capitol. The chief executive reportedly shared how he talked about the incident with Germany's Helmut Kohl and France's Francois Mitterand. Problem is, Kohl died in 2017 while Mitterand died in 1996. But the prospect of Harris becoming the chief executive is more alarming, according to the Daily Mail. A recent NBC News poll found that a combined 53 percent of respondents had a poor view of the vice president – a seven percent increase over the past year. (Related: VP Kamala Harris says she is ready to be president – HELL NO.) Breaking down the 53 percent of respondents who viewed Harris poorly, 42 percent said they espouse a "very negative" view while 11 percent said they hold a "somewhat negative" view. In contrast, only 28 percent of survey respondents had a positive view of the former California senator-turned-vice president. Days before the November 2020 election, 42 percent of voters viewed her positively.

GOP personalities discuss prospect of Kamala becoming president

Following Biden's gaffes, several personalities took to X (formerly Twitter) to discuss the prospect of Harris becoming chief executive if Biden is deemed unable to continue under the 25th Amendment. "This president is not well; this is exactly why the 25th Amendment exists," said Rep. William Timmons (R-SC). "But even Democrats know: The only thing worse than a Biden presidency is a Harris presidency. Please pray for our nation." Former Republican presidential candidate Vivek Ramaswamy pointed out that the mainstream media's debate moderators "tried to shut him down" when he mentioned this. He added that the legacy media dismissed the possibility of a Harris presidency as a mere "conspiracy theory." "I said it last year, and I'll say it again: Biden won't be the Democratic nominee. Now it's just starting to get obvious," the entrepreneur wrote in an X post. "It's playing out exactly as predicted, and we're still in the early innings. Brace yourself for what's ahead: 2024 will be a wild ride." Back in August of last year, Republican presidential candidate Nikki Haley – the lone challenger to former President Donald Trump for the GOP nomination – warned that the prospect of a Harris presidency "should send a chill up every American's spine." "We have to make sure we win this, because the thought of Harris being president should send a chill up every American's spine," she told Fox News' Maria Bartiromo. "We have to make sure that we have a new generational leader that's going to bring in not only Republicans, but … pull back the independents."
