While thousands of U.S. veterans suffer homelessness, a VA hospital in Seattle is demanding more money to perform genital mutilation surgeries on transgender vets
Last year, Washington state's U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) in Puget Sound
spent more than half a million dollars expanding its gender "transition" surgery program for veterans, new evidence shows.
A VA Puget Sound Fiscal Year 2023 funding proposal to the Veterans Health Administration (VHA) National Surgery Office (NSO) estimates the cost of its proposed Comprehensive Gender Affirming Surgical Center (CGASC) at a whopping $642,562 in 2023. By 2027, that cost is expected to balloon to more than $1.5 million.
The facility already hosts various LGBT support groups, as well as offers hormone therapies, hair removal and other "minor" surgeries to trans veterans. It is looking to expand its offerings into plastic surgery and genital mutilation, as well as hire an array of social workers, psychiatrists and psychologists to bolster "LGBTQ+ education" for the purpose of "ending invisibility," improving "affirming communication" and establishing a "more affirming environment in our facilities."
"Seattle is a sanctuary city for LGBTQ+ refugees from across the United States," the proposal reads, arguing in favor of more staffing and equipment to service trans veterans who desire to mutilate their genitals. "Our facility is committed to continuing and expanding these medically necessary, lifesaving services."

Wokeified U.S. military
It is unclear whether VA Puget Sound received the money it asked for, or really what the status of its request currently is. A VA spokesperson did, however, state that "[n]o VA facilities – including VA Puget Sound – have or are developing comprehensive gender affirming care surgery centers."
"While the rulemaking process on gender affirming surgery at VA is still underway, VA continues to provide all other types of gender affirming care to Veterans," the spokesperson added.
The fact that VA Puget Sound is even asking for such things in the first place shows how far the United States military has fallen into "woke" ideology. Embracing the idea that a person can "change genders" through surgery and drugging is insanity, and to see it being pushed by a veterans' hospital is even more shocking.
The trend towards transgenderism has been steadily growing ever since the George W. Bush days, expanding under Barack Hussein Obama and Donald Trump, only to today be basically normalized by Joe Biden and his regime's legions of LGBT groomers.
When Trump tried to scale back the gender dysphoria push within the military, Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin launched a review of this supposed "domestic extremism," which many people saw as a prelude to purging conservative views from the U.S. armed forces.
Meanwhile, the military's ranks have been steadily shrinking for years now. At a Pentagon press briefing in April 2022, the Army's budget for Fiscal Year 2023 under Secretary of the Army Gabe Camarillo revealed that the Army had "proactively made a decision to temporarily reduce our end strength from 485,000 soldiers to 476,000 in FY '22, and 473,000 in FY '23."
The
Military Times reported at the time that the changes "could leave the service at its smallest size since 1940 when it had just over 269,000 troops."
In other words, at a time when the military's ranks are being intentionally shrunk, woke government officials are attempting to turn the military into a hotbed of LGBT perversion, complete with gender affirmation surgeries and drugging available at the nation's network of VA hospitals.
"The evil one is poking the bear," one commenter wrote. "And He will arise and command His holy angels to clear all of this from before His Divine eyes. Make no mistake about it."
