Sen. Lindsey Graham has called for a swift and harsh answer to Tehran's support of militant groups, urging the U.S. government to blow parts of Iran "off the map." The South Carolina Republican senator sat down with "Fox & Friends" hosts and insisted that President Joe Biden's administration bomb Iranian oil fields and the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) headquarters, arguing that Tehran was behind both the attacks on U.S. bases in Iraq and Syria and the harassment of Israeli-linked cargo ships in the Red Sea. "I have been saying for six months now: Hit Iran," Graham said. "They have oil fields out in the open, they have the Revolutionary Guard headquarters you can see from space. Blow it off the map." He claimed that the Yemeni Houthis are "completely backed" by Tehran and without Iran, "there are no Houthis," he declared. Houthi has openly sided with the Palestinians in the Israel-Gaza conflict and reportedly began targeting merchant ships owned by or headed for Israel in late October. Major shipping companies have already rerouted their vessels around Africa, which only caused prices to hike. (Related: Moscow wins again as Houthi rebels attack Western vessels, while Russian oil tankers freely navigate.) The solon who is a member of the influential Senate Armed Services Committee further asserted that Biden has been failing U.S. troops in the field. "If you really want to protect American soldiers, make it real to the Ayatollah, you attack a soldier through a proxy, we're coming after you," he said. Graham further accused Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin of showing "weakness" and "failing our troops in the field" by not retaliating more forcefully despite the launch of airstrikes against three targets in Iraq on Monday. "I asked him a couple of months ago: Is there a red line? Would you tell our enemies publicly that if you kill an American, we are coming after you?" the senator noted. "If you really want to protect American soldiers, make it real to the ayatollah, you attack a soldier through a proxy, we’re coming after you." During CNN’s "State of the Union" earlier in December, Graham said Austin is so naïve and he has lost all confidence in the Pentagon secretary because he alleged that the latter is telling Israel things that are impossible to achieve. Back in the 2007 presidential campaign, former Arizona Senator John McCain infamously sang "Bomb Iran." Graham and McCain have had a long history of promoting the use of force abroad. The former, who is also a retired colonel in the U.S. Air Force, carried the torch after McCain died in 2018.

Delusional Graham tags Republicans as tolerant

Senator Graham has been commenting about a lot of issues lately including one where he tagged conservatives as "tolerant." "The bottom line is, we are kind of get out of your business, you leave me alone, I'll leave you alone," he claimed elsewhere in the said Fox interview, where he complained about a new bill being considered by the New York state legislature that would require the restaurants located in the state's highway rest areas to be open seven days a week. The only firm that runs afoul of this law appears to be Chick-fil-A, which is closed on Sundays as an extension of its founder's conservative Christian values. Graham made a specific demand for the Democrats seated in the Empire State legislature to do as conservatives do and just leave the food chain well enough alone. He also posted on X, declaring "war" while warning: "Hands off our Chick-fil-A!" "The founders of Chick-fil-A made a decision early on to close on Sunday, consistent with their faith," he said in the social media post. "For any government to try to reverse this decision flies in the face of who we are as Americans." Critics were quick to point out how wrong it is for Graham to generalize that Republicans and conservatives are "tolerant." It would be gross misinformation to put it out there that the right "tolerates" left-cult ideologies.
