Planned Parenthood will have 100 fewer employees soon, thanks to the Supreme Court's decision on June 24, 2022 to overturn Roe v. Wade. This counts as another victory for pro-life advocates following the overturn of the landmark decision. It is estimated that about 60,000 lives have been saved so far, and hundreds of thousands more will be saved yearly following the Supreme Court's decision.(Related: Supreme Court overturns Roe v. Wade, sending issue of abortion back to states where it always belonged.) Planned Parenthood has been at the front line of the fight for access to abortions nationally, heading several legal battles against states that have restricted abortion access and often taking the lead for how abortion providers responded to the fresh legal landscape in some of those states. It has been branded by Republicans as an extension of the extreme left faction of the Democratic Party. In May, Alexis McGill Johnson, head of the national organization that murders more than 350,000 babies each year and has killed more than eight million since 1970, declared the employee retrenchment and stated it is required to "meet the needs" in the new life-affirming culture. McGill Johnson also announced that starting this summer, Planned Parenthood will use its resources to better meet the needs of patients and communities. "There will be a reduction in the national office workforce. We believe this strategic decision is essential to meet the current situation. PPFA [Planned Parenthood Federation of America] will prioritize what the national office must do and cut programs that we will not do. That shift in strategy and resource prioritization requires a reduction in our current workforce," McGill Johnson said. "We don't take this moment lightly. The shifting landscape requires very difficult decisions about the way forward, meaning that some of our fiercest, most incredible staff won't continue on this journey with us."

Planned Parenthood to continue war against the unborn

However, McGill Johnson insisted that the war against the unborn must remain. "Planned Parenthood is going to meet this moment boldly, proudly, unapologetically. We have the opportunity and the obligation to put forward a new vision that better serves Planned Parenthood patients and empowers [them] to control their own bodies and lives," McGill Johnson stated. The Boston Globe condemned the need to lay off workers at Planned Parenthood, and at the same time praised the company's move to start its latest initiative called the Black Health Equity Initiative that targets black mothers-to-be. According to Planned Parenthood, the Black Health Equity Initiative was designed "to improve health outcomes and reduce disparities, particularly for Black patients, starting with states in the South and Midwest." Currently, Planned Parenthood runs more than 600 clinics in America and uses some $633 million of American taxpayer money each year to fund the genocide. But it is now feeling the effect of the Roe overturn. In March, Planned Parenthood quietly closed its clinic in Logan, Utah. It is just another loss for Planned Parenthood in its war against life from conception. Follow Abortions.news for more news about Planned Parenthood and abortions in America.
