Gender war: Putin calls gender fluidity propaganda a CRIME AGAINST HUMANITY

America's involvement in the war in Ukraine is possibly connected to the LGBTQ agenda. In an episode of "Good Morning, Patriot" show, the host talked about how Democrats are supporting Ukraine because Russia stands for the traditional family and refuses to "bow down" to the LGBTQ agenda. In February, Russian President Vladimir Putin announced what would be a full-scale war against Ukraine. However, he dedicated a whole paragraph about the West's undermining of traditional values. "Properly speaking, the attempts to use us in their own interests never ceased until quite recently: they sought to destroy our traditional values and force on us their false values that would erode us, our people from within," Putin said. "The attitudes they have been aggressively imposing on their countries, attitudes that are directly leading to degradation and degeneration because they are contrary to human nature." He pointedly added: "This is not going to happen. No one has ever succeeded in doing this, nor will they succeed now." Anyone following Russian politics and society may be familiar with this narrative. In 2012, in the wake of massive protests and declining popularity, Putin wholeheartedly embraced the notion of "traditional values" as an ideology that guides both domestic and foreign policies. While he may be using vague and undefined concepts, traditional values are seen as encompassing patriotism, spirituality, rootedness in history, respect for authority and adherence to heteronormative and patriarchal ideals of family and gender. Under that rhetoric, LGBT rights, feminism, multiculturalism and atheism are not only foreign but are existential threats to their nation.

Putin: Liberalism has become obsolete

Recently, Putin slammed cancel culture and trans rights, calling the gender fluidity propaganda a "crime against humanity." Putin attacked western liberalism in an address last October, blasting both issues at the annual meeting of the Valdai Discussion Club in Sochi. During his address, Putin stressed that his country should adhere to its own spiritual values and historical traditions while seeing clear "sociocultural disturbances" in the West. Moreover, some Westerners actually believe that "the aggressive deletion of whole pages of their own history, reverse discrimination against the majority in the interests of minorities … constitute movement toward public renewal," Putin pointed out. "It's their right, but we are asking them to steer clear of our home. We have a different viewpoint." Putin said that liberalism has become "obsolete" and has loudly advocated for what he considers to be traditional family values. In his October remarks, he also said that the notion of children being taught that "a boy can become a girl and vice versa" is monstrous and "on the verge of a crime against humanity." He also suggested that those who support "transgender rights" were demanding an end to "basic things such as mother, father, family or gender differences." Putin is trying to show that he stands for values that will not divide society and throw it into chaos, according to Matthew Sussex, a Russia expert at the Australian National University. "On the one hand, it's a unifying message. But on the other hand, it does hit … the transgender and gay communities that the Russian government has continued to target," he said.
